The Rebecca Foundation’s Cloth Diaper Closet

I was recently offered an amazing opportunity to work with a non-profit organization to help families in need. The name of this wonderful charity is The Rebecca Foundation.

What does The Rebecca Foundation do?

In a time where many families struggle to provide for their children, the cost of disposable diapers is shockingly high. The average family spends about $2,500 per child in diapers. Cloth diapers provide a cheaper, environmentally friendly alternative. An entire cloth diaper stash can cost as little as $100 and will last a child til potty training. As cheap as this is in comparison, some families are still unable to afford this initial, upfront cost. The Rebecca Foundation provides cloth diaper loans to low income families free of charge. Families can keep these loaned diapers for a year while they slowly build their very own stash. The only thing The Rebecca Foundation asks in return is that each family receiving their service volunteers just a little time per month to the foundation. This can even be done from a computer.

New Knoxville Chapter

I am blessed to have been able to help establish a new chapter of The Rebecca Foundation right here in my hometown. We are slowly growing and expanding, but do stand in need of donations and volunteers.
